We’re not surprised if you are. There’s an upside and a downside to fashion. The upside has to be that it’s an ever changing world, giving people the freedom to express who they are as people, and what they like to think is fashion. The downside is that there’s just so much judgement coming from the world when it comes to fashion, and what people see as acceptable. When it’s changing so much, and when it varies so much from person to person, shouldn’t it be acceptable for anyone to wear what they want!? As much as it should be, what’s determined as “on trend” is ever changing, so we know you’re going to be struggling to stay on trend. As the seasons are changing again, so is what is expected to be classed as trendy. So, we’ve come up with some great ways that you can keep up to date with the fashion trends.
If you want to stay on trend, you’re going to have to look for some pointers along the way. So, the first thing you need to think about is the style tips that you can get from the internet. There are so many fashion blogs, just like the one you’re reading now, and websites that allow you to see all of the latest trends that are happening. Secondly, we think you should be looking out for magazines, something everyone seems to ignore! Magazines are a dying trend. Something people only seem to buy when they’re going to go on holiday or something they only read in a nail salon. But magazines are the perfect place to get up to date information about the latest trends. A lot of magazines spot what the celebs are wearing, tell you what’s good about it and what’s in style, then show you highstreet alternatives so that you’re not paying through the nose for what you want to wear.
What You See Is What You Get!
Another thing you can do is look around you! Sometimes the best inspiration you’re going to find is what you see people walking around you wearing. Let’s talk about your friendship group for example. There’s always that one friend who knows what to wear, and how to make it look good, so why not try taking a few pointers from them! You can also take hints and tips from the clothes models that you see in stores. Stores throw together some of the most intrend statements in an attempt to draw customers in, so you might benefit from something like this.
Make Your Own Trend
Sometimes there’s just no need to follow the crowd! We get so hung up on whatever everyone else is wearing, even though it might not suit our style or likes. But we wear it anyway in an attempt to fit in with the crowd. This is definitely what you shouldn’t be doing. Fashion is all about you, and how it makes you feel! The more you focus on your own style, the happier you’re going to be!
International travel is more accessible than ever before, and millions of people now have the bug. While there’s still a lot to love about a trip to London, New York, or Melbourne, most people want to experience something different. That means a different language, a different mindset, and a different culture.
Whether taking a short city break or backpacking across a foreign land, you deserve to make the most of it. Unfortunately, some very simple mistakes could come back to haunt you. Do as I say (and not what I did) for a far better time.
Make travel convenient. There’s nothing worse than landing in a foreign land after a long, uncomfortable, and inconvenient journey. From taking the necessary travel essentials to booking a flight that leaves and lands at a suitable time can make a world of difference. A $500 Amazon card might help with the former. Arriving at your destination feeling energetic and happy will allow you to start enjoying the adventure from day one. Conversely, a poor journey will put you in a terrible mood that could take the gloss off.
Sleep comfortably. Have you backpacked across North America or mainland Europe and had a great time? That’s brilliant, but it shouldn’t fool you into missing out on the essentials when heading to places like Russia. Staying at the Moscow Marriott Tverskaya Hotel is far smarter than staying in a mixed dorm. This provides luxury, privacy, and often a far better location. Moreover, it’ll be far easier to find, especially when first arriving in the city. I learnt that one the hard way.
Make conversation easier. When visiting a non-English speaking country, learning a few stock phrases can work wonders. In today’s world, however, you can take those sentiments to an entirely new level simply by downloading a translator App. It’s still nice to make an effort and have a go, but having this safety net can make a world of difference. For similar reasons, you may also wish to have a currency converter to hand. I can’t begin to tell you the frustration of not getting your point across.
Leave some freedom. It’s only natural that you want to put your plans in place. After all, this will ensure that you see all of the main attractions. Early bookings may bring discounted prices and remove the hassle of dealing with people in a different language. However, a bout of illness or new info about a local attraction could throw a spanner into the works. If traveling to multiple destinations, Hertz Car Rentals or flexible bookings will work wonders. This could save money overall too.
Stay in touch with family and friends. If it’s only a short trip, you may not feel the need to touch base with everyone back home. However, your loved ones want to know that you’re safe while they also have a great interest in your activities. Not telling my cell provider about my travel plans was a mistake I only made once. In addition to appreciating this, you must take the necessary power adapters and portable chargers too. Otherwise, you could be caught in an unenviable situation.
