As a blogger, the question I get more than most is where I source why photos for my posts. I always try and answer this question as helpfully as possible because I know just how much value images add to a blog. My blog is full of them because lots of people like to see what I am talking about in visual terms. It isn’t a surprise because most people respond to visual cues more effectively than any other cue. To help out my budding bloggers here’s where I go for my totally free, and legal, pics.
The first place to start is Google. Where else?! All you have to do is type your search into the search bar and wait for the results page. When it appears, go to images and click on ‘search tools’. A drop-down menu should appear with six more options. Pick the option that says ‘usage rights’, and then choose ‘labeled for reuse’ from that drop-down menu. The pictures that appear after you filter your results are good to use in your blog. They have already been sanctioned, and you won’t get any angry photographers knocking on your door asking questions!
Wikipedia is also a good place to look for free images because you can filter the results there, too. Just head to the Commons area of the site instead of the usual home page and filter through the content box on the right. A little tip: sort by license. That way, everything that you search for is okay for use in the public domain. As long as the license is fine, the picture is fine to use in your blog or your site.

If you don’t want to go through the hassle of changing licenses and filtering searches, you can cut out the middleman. What you need to do is head to the sites like https://freerangestock.com that provide quality images for free. Their database of free stock photography is an awesome place to find the picture that you need to complement your post. Just use the search bar to find the images that you need and copy and paste it into your document. It couldn’t be easier to use, and it is quicker than sorting through filters.
Think of Pixabay as a direct competitor. In basic terms, they offer the same service that you would find at Free Range Stock. So, why would you use a different database? The answer is that you can never have too many sources. Should you not be able to find what you are looking for, you can use another site to your advantage. The more sources you have at your disposal, the more chance you have of finding the perfect picture. You might also want to take Flickr and Instagram into consideration. However, watch out that you filter the results because the latter is not all for public consumption.
Hopefully, you won’t have any trouble finding images for your blog anymore.
When buying a gift for the special lady in your life, it can be quite daunting. This could be a for a birthday, a special occasion or just to show her what she means to you. What you want to do is surprise her with a thoughtful gift. Something that shows you have made an effort and took the time to get something she would want. The reality is that the task can seem too big to handle, and some men stick with what they know, or may get it a little wrong.
Here are three things you could buy or do for that special lady in your life that I guarantee will put the biggest smile on her face.
I don’t think you can go wrong with a carefully selected piece of jewelry. It’s worth taking a moment to understand the type of jewelry your lady may like. Does she wear a lot of it? Or does she stick to set pieces? Once you know this then the fun can begin. Necklaces are always well received, and there are some lovely pieces available in ELF925 Silver.
When you have decided what you want to buy, then I would recommend taking a look at the sizes of the jewelry she already has. Find out the ring sizes or chain lengths. Even if you have chosen to buy a bracelet as a gift, it‘s worth knowing a wrist size.
I don’t think you can go too wrong with a bunch of flowers. But you could take it up a notch and design a bouquet yourself. Pick out the flowers. Perhaps you could pick the flowers that you had at your wedding. Or maybe just her favourites. Most women appreciate the beauty of flowers. Did you know that 92% of women can remember exactly when it was the last time they received flowers? Do you remember the last time you bought your good lady any?
Flowers are lovely at anytime of the year. For special occasions or just when you get in from work.
Most women don’t need fancy gifts or a lot of expense. In fact, it’s more the thought that we appreciate the most. The sentiment and effort that has gone into it.
You could maybe make her a homemade card and add some thoughtful words. Maybe create a collage of pictures and have them printed on a canvas. Even creating a special date night just for her, where you have cooked and prepared a few surprises. You might be quite the artist. If so, put it to good use and create a masterpiece just for her. There is a lot of things you could do yourself. All you need is the idea.
When it comes to buying your special someone a gift, It doesn’t have to be something you have bought. The gift of time can be just as thoughtful. Whether you buy something or make something the thought and sentiment shine through. Good luck with your purchase.
