If you are looking to plan a trip around this time of year, then you want to look for a place that fully embraces the fall and winter season. Then you can really savor the season and enjoy this time of year. There are so many fun and unique things about fall and winter. So it is best to enjoy it while it lasts, right? So where are the best places to visit? Here are some great cities in the United States that make perfect choices. Have you ever been to any of them?
Colorado is home to some of the best skiing in the world. So it is no surprise that it features. But if snow and high altitude in the mountains aren’t your thing, then visiting Denver has pretty much something for everyone. First of all, because of all of the snowfall the state gets, the city’s foliage is stunning in fall. The orange and yellow cottonwood trees line the streets. So you can take it all in as you bike around the city or stroll along as you shop. There are also plenty of beer festivals in Denver, like Denver Oktoberfest and Denver Beer Fest. So if you can’t make it over to Europe, this would be a close second.
As the temperatures begin to drop a little, it is when Baltimore comes to life. It starts off with a football game, of course. The bars in the area can become quite crowded with everyone wanting to watch the game. There are over 300 free things to do in Baltimore in fall. So there will be something for every member of the family. You could visit local farms and pick pumpkins. You could also take a trip out on a Halloween Hayride too. Lots of fun things to do in this city!
New York City, New York
New York City is a must at least once in your life. It is a fantastic place to visit, with it being in it’s element in fall and winter. It is a great place to Christmas shop, as well as taking in all of the sights. So many movies have been based here so you can enjoy all the things that you see in movies. You could ice skate in Central Park, shop on 5th Avenue and take a boat out onto the lake. It would make for some pretty perfect Christmas preparations.
Santa Barbara, California
If you prefer to be a little warmer over fall and winter, then California is the place to be. What would be better than California’s ‘French cousin’ by visiting the stunning city of Santa Barbara? Located close by to Los Angeles, you can enjoy some of that city, while enjoying the beauty of being by the sea. Hotel prices drop quite a bit in fall, so it is a perfect time. The sun is still shining, though. So why not go wine tasting or swimming around in the sea, in style?
