Last Friday I attended a trendy & hip event at Zibi in Ottawa, CA. It was for the official launch of HabitudeDESIGN which is an event promoting local business owners and makers. They are the reference in the National Capital area for Canadian Design. They are working to be a place were clients and designers can meet and exchange. So many talented designers lack of options to present their creations, that Marie-Josée (founder of HabitudeDesign) decided to be organizing ultra hip and trendy event like no others in the area to help promote them.
There was lots of designers selling and exposing their creations on the spot. From fashion items, accessories to decoration arts, you could find easily a gift for someone you love or for yourself. You could spend the night shopping while treating yourself to finger food and wine. Or go to Glamm to get a brushing or get you nails done.
By grouping a large amount of different products the organizer is hopeful to encourage people to buy less, but better, to make better choices by choosing Canadian design. Because it is so enjoyable to surround yourself with unique products that have a story and contribute to a daily happiness. To choose better every object that surround us is a lifestyle that is easy to work on.
DJ Abeille was entertaining the audience and shoppers all night. And she is a excellent choice to represent this kind of event! She does support artisans and designs and like to promote their talent. Her vibrant personality and talent were sticking really well with this classy event.
